CENTRAL JERSEY LACROSSE was established in 1988. Founder, Chuck Apel, has been offering a lacrosse day camp for youth boys from the novice to experienced lacrosse player each summer for the last 22 years. Central Jersey Lacrosse Camp is committed to providing campers with a supportive environment to learn the basic fundamental lacrosse and team skills, and develop sportsmanship while having fun. This camp is through Bridgewater-Raritan Council of Schools Summer Enrichment Program and is held at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School in June and July for the Summer of 2010. |
Central Jersey Lacrosse also holds a Summer Lacrosse League for Youth and High School Boys. The league is made of High School Teams from Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Morris Counties. Both leagues are played on Monday and Wednesday nights from late June through July at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School. This program is through Bridgewater Lacrosse, Inc., which is a non-profit organization that helps support the youth boys and girls lacrosse program in Bridgewater.
Bridgewater Lacrosse, Inc. was established to promote the sport of lacrosse and give the youth of Central Jersey the opportunity to become well-rounded student-athletes. Many of the coaches in our youth program were once High School Players under Coach Apel and have returned to share their love for lacrosse with these young players. 2 KNIGHTS LACROSSE, which was founded by Chuck Apel and his brother, Andrew offers a lacrosse league for both boys and girls. This league offers a variety of opportunities to develop essential lacrosse skills and gives each player a foundation for success.
